It is our mission to ensure that the family have the opportunity to view their loved one looking as natural in appearance as is possible. To this end, our first goal is to ensure that the deceased is embalmed as fully as possible and as quickly as possible. This will slow down natural decomposition and allow the family to view their loved one looking their very best.
Depending on the mode and manner of death, it is possible that the deceased could contain infection which could pose a threat to family members and funeral operatives alike.
We are committed to providing an embalming process which disinfects the remains and hugely reduces such risks for all involved in handling or viewing of the deceased.
At CS Embalming and Bio Hazard Services we know the distress which can be caused to a family when a loved one has been through trauma or severe illness. We will use our professional experience to enhance the appearance of the deceased by restoring natural features and concealing visible signs of trauma or illness to the best of our ability.
We sympathetically and carefully apply cosmetics necessary to improve appearance where this is possible. Naturally, we would always respect the wishes of the family when preparing their loved one to be viewed.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure the health and safety of all who may come into contact with the deceased whilst giving the deceased the most natural, peaceful and dignified appearance possible given the circumstances of their death.

Our embalmer, Craig Stewart, is a highly experienced and dedicated professional. He has been embalming since 2002 and been a member of the British Institute of Embalming since 2012.

Craig has 18 years of experience within the funeral business working for Co-Op Funeralcare, as an arranger (back of house) and embalmer. This has given him an in depth knowledge of dealing with families during their process of grief as well as working behind the scenes on all aspects of the care of the deceased.
